Our Story
After completing my education and training in business accounting, I searched for a job like most graduates. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to secure one and instead became a full-time freelancer. Through freelancing, I established myself as a top-rated freelancer on Upwork.
During my freelancing career, I discovered that many start-ups and small businesses don’t maintain their business books or only keep transaction records in spreadsheets to avoid bookkeeping costs. While this may seem like a cost-saving measure, it has significant downsides. Without proper financial reports and insights, businesses cannot make informed decisions. Furthermore, they waste valuable time maintaining transaction records instead of focusing on growth. This often continues for a year or more, and once they establish their bookkeeping system and start getting financial reports, they realize they could have made better decisions or saved time by having a system in place from the start. In some cases, businesses mess up their accounting records, and they spend more money correcting it than they would have if they had a proper bookkeeping system from the beginning.
Many start-ups and small businesses find themselves in this situation, which led me to create A Grade Bookkeeping. Our goal is to help businesses set up an affordable bookkeeping system from the start and provide regular bookkeeping services that they can afford. By doing so, businesses can focus on growth instead of operations and this will help us achieve our mission to enable business owners to spend 95% of their time on business growth.
